Introducing John & Jenn / The new, affordable, and ultra-glittery collection from the designers behind Line Knitwear:

The new collection fromJennifer Wells and John Muscat, the designers behind Line Knitwear, have unveiled their first diffusion line of affordable must-haves all based on their first collection’s signature pieces. For Spring 2012, prints are mixed with pops of bright turquoise, coral, pink, and tangerine, with a fresh twist to lightweight cardigans, oversized sweaters and maxi dresses. Sequined nautical tanks and mini dresses are also included in the line, to take you from the beach to night. As well as on our backs, Line has been spotted on Taylor Swift, Emily Blunt, and Rachel McAdams, so we’re sure John & Jenn will have similar It girl appeal.

Taylor Swift’s sweetheart hair and shimmering makeup at the 2011 BMI Country Awards:

At last night’s 2011 BMI Country Awards, however, Swift did slightly switch up her typical winged-eye-and-bright-lips look, by adding a warmer shimmer to her eye makeup and skipping the red lips for a muted pink-plum shade instead.  Swift’s curls are also more relaxed than we’ve seen before, but still styled in her classic one-sided wave. This is definitely a look worth copying for upcoming holiday parties.

Afternoon beauty fix / Get Taylor Swift-worthy flatiron curls

Your success rate relies heavily on the heat of your iron and how quickly you can flick your wrist. Flatirons can take a while to heat up and, if they’re not hot enough, you end up holding hair inside the iron for longer, which is what causes the kink. You may have better luck using a clamp-free styling wand instead—nothing holds your hair in place except your hand, and high-quality ones, like the T3 SinglePass Whirl ($150, at Murale), heat up quickly and stay that way for even, kink-free curls.
